Beastie Boys Adam Yauch Dead At Age 47

There is sad news coming out the music world today. Beastie Boys singer Adam Yauch has died at the age of 47. Adam Yauch, known back in his Beastie Boy days as MCA, had been suffering from salivary gland cancer for the past three years. He passed away this morning in New York City. Adam is survived by his wife Dechen Wengdu and their daughter Tenzin. It was back in 2009 when Yauch revealed that he was suffering from the very rare form of cancer. Only two out of every 100,000 people are It was because of his battle with cancer that Adam was unable to be a part of the Beastie Boys being inducted into the Rock & Roll hall of fame last month. He did however send a heartfelt letter that his band members Adam Horovitz and Michael Diamond read.
