Workers' Compensation's Seven-Day Waiting Period | Schwartzapfel ...

When an employee is injured in the course of their employment, there is a seven-day waiting period before compensation becomes payable from the Workers? Compensation insurance carrier.? This was an attempt by the legislature to reduce payment of compensation on claims where minor injuries occurred.? Although no payment of compensation will become due during that period, if an employee is out for fourteen days or longer, they become entitled to payment for their entire time lost dating back to the date of the accident.?
