CHICAGO (July 19, 2013) ? Tickets for the U.S. Men?s National Team?s most highly anticipated home match every four years against archrival Mexico in FIFA World Cup Qualifying can now be applied for by the general public. The match, which takes place on Sept. 10 at Columbus Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, will be the USA?s fourth home game in the Hexagonal.

Due to high demand for tickets to the match, U.S. Soccer is using a random draw to determine the ultimate recipients. The process will ensure the general public has an equal opportunity to purchase tickets at face value directly through Ticketmaster.

The public application phase is open until Monday, July 22 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Applicants may request a maximum of four tickets per household. Following the completion of the public application window, a computer program will randomly select individuals to receive their requested tickets. Those successful applicants will be notified by July 30 and their transaction will be completed.

U.S. Soccer is working with the Columbus Crew to determine if additional seats can be added for the match. Fans that are not selected to purchase tickets in the initial draw will be automatically re-entered for a chance to obtain the additional seats. These tickets will also be allocated by random selection.

Kickoff for the U.S. MNT?s home World Cup Qualifier against Mexico is at 8 p.m. ET and the match will be broadcast on ESPN, WatchESPN and UniMas. ESPN will have an hour-long pregame show, beginning at 7 p.m. ET, while UniMas will conduct a two-hour long pregame show, beginning at 6 p.m. ET. Fans can also follow the match live online via ussoccer.com's MatchTracker and Twitter @ussoccer.

Fans will also have the opportunity to take advantage of two limited-quantity ticket packages for one of the biggest rivalries in international soccer. The Ultimate Fan Ticket includes a premium ticket, an official U.S. National Team jersey with customized name and number for each ticket ordered, VIP access to the field before and after the game, and other unique benefits. UFTs are available exclusively through ussoccer.com.

The Fan Travel Package includes hotel accommodations at the official hotel, match day transportation, access to exclusive events and more, allowing fans to experience a World Cup Qualifier like never before. Travel packages are available online or by calling 800-736-6377 and speaking with a sports travel expert.

As U.S. Soccer has done throughout the Final Round of World Cup Qualifying, there will be a number of different events leading up to and around the match to provide fans with a complete experience. U.S. Soccer?s Headquarters will open on Friday, Sept. 6 and there will be a viewing party for the USA-Costa Rica away match that evening. The night before the Mexico match, fans are encouraged to attend a free Pep Rally, and on game day participate in the U.S. Soccer Fan Fest and pre-game tailgate. More information on all those events will be posted on ussoccer.com in the coming weeks.

The fourth installment of the special-edition scarf and poster will be unveiled leading up to the match. U.S. Soccer is doing a five-part series throughout the Final Round of FIFA 2014 World Cup Qualifying, where all fans attending the match receive a free game-specific scarf and have the opportunity to purchase a limited edition poster to show their pride for the U.S. Men?s National Team.

Each poster is designed by a different artist and only a limited run of each will be printed, providing a unique memento to fans to remember each World Cup Qualifying match. The poster for each game draws on local imagery and iconography while incorporating the Men?s National Team and U.S. Soccer in an image that ultimately showcases the specific World Cup Qualifier being played in that specific city.

Fans can get new and exclusive content as the U.S. Men?s National Team prepares for its match against Mexico by downloading U.S. Soccer?s new digital magazine app, ?Anthem.? Check out the latest issue focused on the Gold Cup.
