Symptoms express the body?s try to heal, or the body telling us it is sick. If we treat symptoms without looking at their cause, the symptoms return and the illness has grown stronger. Much of Allopathic Medication works by suppressing the symptoms of illness instead of removing causes. The elimination of the symptoms isn't the same as elimination of the illness itself.
In allopathic medicine a symptom is usually treated with the goal to restrain, cut back the discomfort of the symptoms. This is sometimes done without addressing the essential cause of the problem and this is not a treatment for the real cause. An ideal example is low grade fever. Low fevers are generally caused by the body fighting an infection. Treating the low grade fever without treating the infection turns off one of the body?s major self-defenses.
