It goes without saying that currently, the WWE divas division is terrible. It is so bad, its hard to believe one even exists. I also believe, many WWE fans probably can?t even name the WWE Divas Champion (It?s Layla BTW). When we think back and reflect on divas in the WWE, are you thinking about wrestlers, valets or even other non-wrestling roles? When people name their favorite or the best divas in WWE, often times it isn?t clear if they are discussing wrestlers or valets or perhaps another type of role. In what role, would the WWE divas be best utilized?

There are fourteen divas on WWE.com, but something did not seem right. Lillian Garcia was there, but Vickie Guerrero was not. Lillian Garcia has not been a wrestler in any matches, unless you count her match against Howard Finkel. On the other hand, Vickie has been in a number of matches ? including this one against Kelly Kelly (who was Divas Champion at the time!). ?It doesn?t make any sense to have the ring announcer labeled diva, but not the best female manager. I enjoy pointing out the lack of WWE?s logic and I think I have proven one point right here.

Assuming we consider Vickie as the fifteenth diva, eight of the ladies can be identified as wrestlers (Layla, Alicia Fox, Beth Phoenix, Eve, Kaitlyn, Kelly Kelly, Natalya, Tamina Snuka), five as valets (Aksana, Cameron, Naomi, Rosa Mendes, Vickie Guerrero), one as a ring announcer (Lillian Garcia) and obviously one as a general manager (AJ Lee). The only one in the group, which I believe is not utilized correctly, is the RAW general manager, AJ Lee.? AJ is a great character, but she is also a great wrestler. I think WWE is wasting her talent as the GM. She is super popular and could be used as a great way to improve the divas division. Layla would be much better off as a heel feuding with the face AJ. I consider Layla to be quite boring as a face and was much more entertaining as part of ?Lay-Cool.?

Eve is another diva who is not being utilized to her potential, especially after the firing of John Laurinitis. Eve has the ability to be a wrestler, manager or another non-wrestling role. She reminds me of Trish Stratus or Lita in that she is able to garner heat in a non-wrestling role, but still be in the Divas Championship hunt. Since the firing of Laurinitis, Eve has barely been on TV. Recently, she has been in backstage segments with Booker T and Teddy Long, in addition to one match. There are many possibilities for Eve in the WWE. In what way, do you think WWE can best utilize Eve?

I don?t mind seeing the WWE divas as a mix of wrestlers, managers, valets or in any other role as long as they are being utilized the right way for her character and wrestling ability. What do you think about how WWE uses the divas? How would you best utilize the current divas in the WWE?
