INTERNS

The International Fellowship of Christians & Jews, one of the 2011 Top 50 Best Nonprofits to Work For, has exciting opportunities available for resourceful, motivated individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of others in helping a non-for-profit humanitarian organization fulfill its mission. We are currently recruiting college interns to work during the summer before returning to school for the following roles.

1. Accounting/ Finance ? Projects will provide hands-on opportunity in accounting and an understanding of nuances in processing donations.
Requirements: Strong attention to detail and mathematical aptitude is required. Strong proofing skills. Currently pursuing an Accounting degree with basic accounting principle courses completed. Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel. Experience user accounting software a plus. Experience processing checks and credit card batches, completing journal entries, spreadsheets, bank reconciliations, and exposure to a general ledger a strong plus.

2. Church Relations ? Project will provide opportunity to understand the logistics of marketing and event planning for church entities that are donors.
Requirements: Strong attention to detail and very organized. Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business Management, Non-Profit Management, Ministry or related degree a plus. Event planning, customer service, or ministry experience a plus. Comfortable working with church leaders. Adept at MS Excel and Word; mail merge experience a plus.

3. Direct Mail Marketing/ Fulfillment ? Projects will provide a look into direct mail marketing in the non-profit arena.
Requirements: Strong attention to detail and very organized. Strong proofing skills. Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business Management, Non-Profit Management, or related degree a plus. Strong MS Excel skills. Adept at MS Word with mail merge experience.

4. Information Services ? Projects will include intro level .NET programming, data segmentations using SQL, Business Intelligence development, documentation of processes.
Requirements: Currently pursuing Computer Science degree. Completion of .NET and SQL programming courses. Detail-oriented and well organized. Good communication skills.

5. Donor Services ? Projects will provide an opportunity to understand the inner workings of how to service our donors.
Requirements: Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Pastoral Services, Business Management, International Business or related area. Detail-oriented. Database experience. Phone experience a plus.

6. Web Marketing ? Projects will provide a hands-on opportunity to elements of designing web pages and emails for our e-newsletters, working in tandem with our webmasters and graphic designers.
Requirements: Currently pursuing a degree or concentration in Computer Science, Marketing, Business Management, or related area. Must have HTML and CSS knowledge. Detail-oriented.

Our preference is to have individuals that have already begun their undergraduate studies in the fields named above. These are paid internships.
