Do not give a credit card to anyone you would normally decline. However, most companies deal with this by having the consumer put up a deposit and either they get the amount of the deposit as credit or some companies utilize a 1.5 ratio to the deposit amount. Personally, I feel that you should not give questionable people credit unless you are open to the possibility that you will never recover the full prinicipal.
